Updated storyline

Principle of storyboarding

example of storyboarding

CONCLUSION

Doing storyboarding is the best way to show what is going in our mind and direct the cameraman to adjust the shot as we want. Sometimes, what we draw is different with the angle in camera itself. Storyboards does not constrain us. It is only the imagination of what we want the shot to be. We will find some differences in the making of video but take it as our experience as we learn to get another better angle rather than what we draw in storyboard itself.

Video Reference

This post is regarding the TVC we will be doing soon.
The concept of our TVC is unity amongst Malaysian citizens.
We plan on showing this through the New Year Celebrations of the major races and cultures of Malaysia which consists of the Malays, the Chinese and the Indians.
The New Year Celebrations are Hari Raya, Chinese New Year and Diwali.

The following link is a TVC of Tourism Malaysia 2007 campaign.
Their slogan was 'One Golden Celebration'.
In the video shows the different type of races in Malaysia, different types of festivals and events in Malaysia.

The concept of the Tourism Malaysia 2007 campaign is similar to what we have in mind.

Why we choose TV Commercial advertisement?

Compared with the previous video references to ramadan video, there are some inappropriate act in ramadan video which is directed to one race as it has been explained before.

For our final, we choose to do the same method, which is via TV commercial. We choose video commercial advertisement because it is opened widely and everyone could see. Besides that, video gives more explanation with the action and easy to understand the meaning of celebration itself rather than using banner, poster, etc. Since the advertisement shows more to unity in races of Malaysia, we will do on the major which celebrates Chinsese New Year, Hari Raya, and Deepavali where mostly people here is dominated by Chinese, Malay, and Indian. The concept of our redesign TV commercial advertisement is togetherness.
